Advancing Remote Monitoring in Psychiatry as a Standard of Care Across Europe

As a leader in chronic disease management, Resilience Care is currently deployed in more than 220 healthcare facilities across France, Belgium, and Germany. In psychiatry, its remote patient monitoring (RPM) solution dedicated to mood disorders (depression and bipolar disorders) is implemented in over 25 French healthcare facilities in France. The company's partners include major players such as Ramsay Santé and Inicea (Clariane Group).

Mental health disorders are one of the leading causes of morbidity worldwide, yet access to appropriate care remains significantly constrained relative to current demand. Faced with this public health challenge, Resilience Care’s ambition is to establish RPM as a standard of care in psychiatry, enabling earlier identification of at-risk situations, supporting treatment adherence, and improving patients’ quality of life. The acquisition of Recovery Cat allows Resilience Care to accelerate its footprint in Germany. Both organizations share a commitment to making medical innovation accessible to as many patients as possible.

A German Pioneer in Remote Monitoring in Psychiatry

Co-Founded in 2020 by Dr. Jakob Kaminski, a psychiatrist, psychotherapist and researcher, Recovery Cat emerged from research conducted at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin's Department of Psychiatry and Neurosciences. Supported by the German Prototype Fund and the Berlin Institute of Health Digital Health Accelerator, the company pioneered a hybrid psychiatric care pathway in Germany. Recovery Cat has developed a therapy monitoring platform for people with severe psychiatric disorders deployed in nearly 20 hospitals and practices. The company also secured a selective care contract with Techniker Krankenkasse (TK), Germany’s largest statutory health insurer, giving patients free access to the app and enabling healthcare providers to receive reimbursement for their therapy monitoring activities.

In the coming months, Recovery Cat’s centers will gradually transition to Resilience Care’s platform, while the teams will deepen existing, well-established partnerships.
