Introduction
Physical activity, smoking, and alcohol consumption are behaviors likely to affect patients' health and quality of life. Screening for these factors relies primarily on healthcare professionals. However, the detection of these behaviors is not consistently addressed across healthcare facilities, which can generate disparities in patient management (Di Meglio A. Cancer 2021).
Medical remote monitoring based on ePROs (electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes) enables patient tracking and symptom identification, thereby improving communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
Following an investigation into the impact of patient-reported social determinants of health within a medical remote monitoring solution and health-related social risks (Franzoi MA. ASCO 2023), this study aims to:
- Assess the feasibility of evaluating patient-reported health behaviors via a medical remote monitoring solution deployed in routine care.
- Explore their association with patient symptoms, their adherence to the remote monitoring solution, and their engagement with the digital educational resources provided.
